Testimonials

When I was looking to change jobs, I was impressed by Potomac Valley. I liked the fact that the Administrator is the 3rd generation of her family in the business – it’s nice to have one family caring for other families. What impressed me most when I joined Potomac Valley is how long everyone has worked here. You can tell everyone loves their job and genuinely cares about the residents. It’s refreshing to work in a place where you are able to make a difference in someone’s life.

My wife and I benefitted from the sound care provided by the physical therapy staff at Potomac Valley. Their style was to encourage patients to do their best while recognizing the reality that all patients are different and need distinct treatment and adjusting each person’s program accordingly. The staff really cares, and is devoted to excellence and the maximum recovery possible of all in their care.

Edward's Story

Edward developed extensive physical incapacity after a sudden illness. Read about how Potomac Valley helped him recover and get back in the driver’s seat.

Charting a return to greater independence.

Shopping with friends, spending quality time with family, cooking and doing laundry -- each can be compromised following accident, surgery or illness.

At Potomac Valley our proprietary Wellness Roadmap℠ helps people return to their highest possible quality of life -- based upon their own personal goals and supported through a customized plan for recovery incorporating Physical, Occupational and/or Speech Therapy.

Through the Wellness Roadmap℠ we target the skills each person needs to enhance personal autonomy and self care. Being able to walk confidently, maintain balance, dress, speak clearly, enjoy food and even cook for one’s self are important aspects of life quality.

The Wellness Roadmap℠ is also used to chart progress toward a smooth transition from our center, utilizing a ‘strength and confidence’ focus on the things that impact someone’s sense of worth and well-being. It also provides an ongoing resource for discussions between family and staff.

Please reach out to us if you are a family member or friend of someone needing care.
