Accidents happen. Or the challenges of aging increase and mobility, self-care or communication become more difficult. Our individualized rehabilitation programs are designed to help each resident restore abilities, rebuild confidence and, whenever possible, to return home.

Each resident has his or her own goals: walking, cooking, dressing, speaking more clearly, swallowing confidently or improving overall safety and balance. Our physical and occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists work in concert to ensure that resident goals are met with an individualized program of support. We also coordinate the smooth transition of residents from Potomac Valley to a place of greater independence, whether that be their own or family member's home or assisted living facility.
