My wife was one of the
sweetest, dearest people you would ever meet. As her Alzheimer’s Disease
progressed she became like a different person. She was sometimes
physically aggressive, cried all the time, thought someone was going to
hurt her and sometimes saw things that just weren’t there.
I feel so fortunate that my research for a facility with an excellent
reputation led me to Potomac Valley. Since the time she arrived there
she began to transform from someone who was afraid all the time to
someone who feels safe. She smiles more and has adapted very well. She
attends activities, especially anything musical. She loves to paint and
does arts and crafts, too.
I’ve seen other nursing homes and none compare to Potomac Valley. They
are doing a great job of caring for my wife in such a peaceful setting.
